Private Gardens - The Cleeves,  Nr Keynsham Bristol
Budget: £500,000 plus

This five acre garden has everything a garden design would ever wish for.
Sloping ground, existing streams, views of Bath and Bristol, existing mature trees and garden features.

We were given an open brief and used the stream as the main focal point to all aspects of the garden. Using the stream from the top right hand side of the garden, the aim is for it to then flow down into a large pond area of over an acre in size. From the end of the pond, the water is actually pumped back to the top to maintain a flow. However it has an appearance of moving on towards the house. This is via a series of pumps, five in total, each recycling itself back to its starting point under bridges and footpaths.

The garden due to its slope, will not be easy to maintain, so large areas of grass and tree planting, away from the house, combined with a ride on mower, will help reduce time spent on care of the garden.

Near to home the garden does become more heavily planted in varying styles to meet the requirements of the owners.

Instructed to landscape masterplan only.
