Retirement Homes - Beaconsfield

A small development close to the centre of old Beaconsfield, the courtyard has been designed for all residents to use, during the day as well as at night. This scheme for English Courtyard Developments has a focal point of a gazebo at the rear of the longitudinal garden. From this seating area, residents and friends can look back onto a series of garden features.

As with all English Courtyard schemes, providing a sense of maturity from the outset is important and the development has achieved this by using bold planting, combined with specimen planting. Other landscape features include sculptures, both wooden and in stone, pergolas, areas for wildlife, further seating areas and a sense of privacy in a busy area of Beaconsfield.

Masterplan

Due to site constraints, it was not possible to plant trees to provide visual interest. However, by providing raised beds with multi stem trees and using Italian cypresses within the tight confines of the site, which are all fully under lit, this helped to provide a structure to the garden.
