Nursing Homes
The current demand for nursing homes has never been greater and, with an ever- aging population for the coming decades, new homes are being built right across the UK. Tim Lynch Associates is at the forefront in landscape design in this specialist area. Working on over 30 projects throughout the UK at any one time, from the masterplan stage to overseeing its construction, our understanding of this specialist area has placed us in the position we currently find ourselves today.
Such residential homes may only require a simple courtyard design or a more complicated design entailing all the elements of landscape, ecology and arboriculture. Recently, one of our clients purchased a botanical garden in which to develop an exclusive nursing home of 100 units. We were brought on board to not only evaluate the site but to record every aspect of the gardens.
Whether it is a simple layout or a more challenging design, our philosophy has been for all residents, active or not so, to enjoy and use the gardens to aid mental as well as physical well being.
