About Tim Lynch Associates

Tim Lynch Associates was founded in 1985 and since then has built up a reputation for providing imaginative and innovative design, based around a core belief of practicality.

Over the past 22 years, Tim Lynch Associates has been primarily instructed to create gardens for retirement developments, nursing homes and Alzheimer gardens. This highly specialist form of landscape design has put the Practice in the forefront of this area, providing unique and secure interactive gardens for all to use. Our garden designs provide ample opportunity for happiness and pleasure, as well as interaction with the garden via garden club areas and carefully designed recreational patios.

Each development is based around the fundamental concept of ensuring that both the able and less able can use the garden fully to meet their own individual needs and requirements. That may be growing plants in an allotment area, relaxing in the garden throughout the day or enjoying the garden with friends and relatives.

Alzheimer or dementia gardens are key to many of the Practice’s designs and the careful selection of plant material and hardscape elements is vital for any form of sensory garden. Our knowledge and experience throughout the UK in this specialist form of design has put Tim Lynch Associates at the forefront of sensory garden design.

Tim Lynch believes....

.... that he and his team have a significant role to play in providing a professional service for the elderly in the fields of:

• Landscape Architecture
• Sensory Garden Design
• Landscape Management
• Environmental Planning
• Ecology Studies
• Arboriculture Assessments

Whilst increased awareness of our environment in the eye of the general public is growing via the media and the internet, its approach must be practical as well as effective. A carefully considered design process in association with other professionals and developers, will result in a workable and practical scheme being implemented and enjoyed by all concerned.

Other areas the Practice has been appointed on include historical garden restoration, leisure and commercial projects, housing development schemes and estate management.

Garden design also plays a part in the Practice’s portfolio.
